The Yosemite Manifesto on RDF as a Universal Healthcare Exchange Language is a position statement advocating the adoption of RDF as a universal exchange language for healthcare. It was produced at a workshop held on June 3, 2013 at the Semantic Technology and Business Conference in San Francisco, and first endorsed by members of that workshop, but has since been signed by many others. The need for a universal exchange language for healthcare was identified by the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). The Yosemite Project follows up on the principles of the Yosemite Manifesto by articulating a roadmap for achieving healthcare information interoperability using RDF as a basis.
