What is the Yosemite Manifesto?

Why is it called the "Yosemite" Manifesto?

It was named after the meeting room at the San Francisco Hilton hotel where the workshop was scheduled to be held. The room assignment was later changed to the Plaza A meeting room, but "Yosemite Manifesto" sounded better than "Plaza A Manifesto", so we kept Yosemite.  :)

What do you hope to achieve?

The ultimate goal is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare! But the shorter term goals are: (a) to provide a clear, concise answer to the need for a universal exchange language for healthcare, as identified by [the PCAST report]; (b) to gain visibility on this effort to improve healthcare; (c) to encourage the adoption of RDF for this purpose.
